Mary Collins-Lyman is a New England artist who works in a variety of media but focuses primarily on pastel. She draws her inspiration from the New England landscape, her gardens and the views outside her window at her home in Salem, New Hampshire overlooking Arlington Pond. Mary is intrigued by how the seasons impact the landscape and will frequently revisit a spot that she has painted or drawn before, finding new light, new color and a somewhat different “sense of place”.
Mary studied printmaking at Massachusetts College of Art where she earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts.
She is a member of the New Hampshire Art Association, The Newburyport Art Association and the Monotype Guild of New England.
